Ok KJCGIRLS, I know the New Year just started and if we are being realistic and healthy about our goals then you should only be losing about 1-2lbs per week, but that doesn't mean that you can't look 10lbs lighter INSTANTLY!! I mean YES, diet, exercise and wearing your KJC FAJA are truly the only ways we are going to be able to achieve those goals but what if I told you that there are a few ways you can cheat the system, and it all has to do with the way you present yourself?! I'm going to give you some of my very own secrets to looking slimmer so READ ON...
1. Posture is Everything
My first husband's mother was Polish and every single time I or anyone else was around her she would say "Stoj Prosto" or "Stand up Straight" Honestly it was so annoying it is only in recent years that I realized how right she was! She was just trying to make me look taller and slimmer, I should have thanked her, but now I am grateful for her years of "Stoj Prosto" Did you know that if you slouch, you just look heavier automatically?! Straighten up, hold back those shoulders and walk with purpose. Not only will you look more confident but your back will hurt less. Wearing your KJC FAJA is an excellent way to instantly correct your posture and is an instant benefit of Waist Training!
2. Cinch your Waist (ummm Duh)
Honestly, this is one of the oldest tricks in the book! If you accentuate the smallest part of your body the eye is immediately drawn to it and it creates a nice slimming effect.Its all about that waist to hip ratio! And ladies it is a scientific fact that men have a chemical reaction to women with a high waist to hip ratio! Dressing for your body type is sooo important. Kim Kardashian is a perfect example of this. She can look 15-20lbs lighter or heavier from day to day depending on how she dresses. If you have a curvy body type avoid sack like dresses or clothing without any structure or seaming. If you carry your weight around your midsection and have long lean limbs you can ignore this rule and wear dresses and tops that skim the body that are loose around the midsection but stick to a shorter hemline to show off your legs. Again, wearing your KJC FAJA is an instant way to achieve this illusion. The Faja is very discreet under even the tightest of clothing.
3. Wear Clothing that elongates the body
There are actually many ways to achieve this. The best way to elongate the top half of your body is to wear something with a V-Neckline (Great for those with short torsos) This creates space between your face and your midsection and the effect is automatically slimming. A great way to elongate the Lower half of your body is to wear high waisted pants with a flare leg. I mean WHOA instant Super Model. I'm 5'2" and when I wear flare jeans I feel like Kendall Jenner and who wouldn't want to feel like her lol :) If you have short arms avoid chunky jewelry on the wrist. I know stackable cartier bracelets are all the rage right now but with short arms this will make you look like an oompa loompa #sorrynotsorry. If you have a long torso and short legs avoid wearing long tops with cropped pants. Unfortunately, I see the cropped coo lot style pants trend coming but honestly it is not figure flattering at all... I may end up eating crow on this but I do not plan to jump on that band wagon and neither should you!
4. Get your clothes tailored
This is so important and most people don't think to do this, but it makes the world of difference! Haven't you ever wondered how celebrities always look so "put together" It is because every single item they put on their body has been cut to fit them perfectly. Even a simple t-shirt might be just a bit too long needing tailoring (Or shrinking lol poor mans tailoring) Honestly though if you feel that tailoring your clothes is too expensive you're wrong. When the clothing items you own fit you perfectly after being tailored you will be less tempted to go out and purchase new clothing you don't necessarily need, plus once you are a regular with your tailor they will work with you to get you the best deals and they will really get to know your body! In fact one of our employees recently purchased the Bianca Flare Jeans literally 3 sizes too big so that they would be long enough to wear with taller heels. She then had them tailored to fit her and BOOM they are now her Favorite pair of Jeans! She wore them out one night recently and let me tell you, she SLAYED!! Go Kate XO
5. Wear Proper Undergarments & SHAPEWEAR
Victoria's Secret should really not be a Secret! In fact we should shout it to the rooftops!! Make sure your Bra Fits CORRECTLY!! You should not have Quad Boob or unecessary rolls.
